Letterboxing, sunsets, ocean breezes ~ a wonderful day in CT

We had a wonderful day of Letterboxing today.  My husband was off from work today so he decided to venture out with us.  He found his first box ever.  I think we have a new Letterboxing fan to add to our club.

We happened to time the stamping in of the "Avery Light" box perfectly with the sunset.  What a breathtaking view.  Oranges, yellows, crimson, pinks, blues and purples with the sounds of crashing surf and sea gulls in the background as the sun slowly dipped beyond the horizon.  It was like fireworks going off as we were stamping in.  This was by far the most wonderful Letterboxing experience we've had to date.

We replaced the bag holding the stamp and ink at Avery Light.  The bag was torn and wet inside.  There is also mildew growing on the stamp.  We cleaned it up as best as we could with a paper towel.  The box itself and the log book were in good condition.

Looking forward to getting out there again tomorrow.  Hope to see you on the trails!

Warmest regards,

Ellen
